TDBX 2011

About 20 of us got together yesterday to ride the Tour de Bronx. Out of any organized TA ride, this is my favorite. I do this ride every year. Its the only time I ever venture up into the Bronx, and I think it covers the area pretty well.

After it being rained out last year, I was looking forward to doing the tour de bronx this year. I've only been living in NYC a bit over 2 years, so the bronx is uncharted territory for me. It was an awesome day. I couldn't ask for more perfect weather.

The ride was pretty laid back. I was with my girlfriend and my friend Dan. About half way in I told Dan to go ahead. I could tell he was antsy to let loose, and I was riding pretty chill at my girls pace.

It was a really scenic route that went through really beautiful neighborhoods, beaches, colorful fall scenery, cemeteries, parks, and ended up with some nice rolling hills. My girl enjoyed herself, which was a high point of mine during the whole thing. I wish she rode with me more!
