Its the coldest day of the year so far. I get out of work and I'm hauling ass home. I pass a cop as I'm riding down delancey and essex (in Manhattan). I make my way up the bridge and I see lights behind me. WTF I think since I'm already on the bridge, but somehow I knew the lights were for me. He drives past me on the commuter side of the bridge, gets out of the car and yells at me to pull over.
He says he's pulling me over because I was riding on the wrong side of the road while entering the bridge. Fuck that. I ride the same way home every night. Since I've been in this city I have experienced so many things that have made me lose all my respect for NYPD. All my life I've always respected law enforcement, but here its a different story. All the things going on in this city and he chases someone on a bike on the coldest day of the year up the commuter side of the bridge, and writes me a ticket for what looks to be a $130 fine. I was so pissed. Guess I'll plead not guilty and see what happens. Wish me luck...
