8 of us rode the 9W to Piermont fixed. It was a crazy day. One of our guys was arrested at a rest stop because he didn't have his helmet on. The fucked up part is that he had his helmet with him, but took it off to do a quick ride to a store to get some water. They held him for 3 hours, and his brother had to come bail him out...FOR A FUCKING HELMET!! The cops obviously have nothing better to do around these parts. Total bullshit. The rest of the day and ride were pretty awesome though. Always a challenging route, and this was my first time riding it fixed.
