Bianchi, finished!

We bought this for my girlfriend a month or so back with the plans of a restore. She loves her singlespeed, but wanted something with gears.

I'm unsure of the year. I'm thinking 85-86ish. It came with a full shimano 600 group that dates around then. The bike definitely needed some TLC when I got it. I stripped it down as soon as it arrived. This is what has been done to it:

  • Stripped

  • Rebuilt/re-tentioned the wheels

  • Degreased and re-packed the headset, bottom bracket and pedals

  • Frame savered

  • Wetsanded and polished stem and seatpost

  • New chain, brake and derailleur cables

  • Panaracer Pasela's

  • Cane creek drop levers, deda bar tape, dimension toe straps

  • rebuilt

  • It went back together easier than any other build I've done. With minimal adjustment it shifts quick and crisp. The bike is so solid and smooth. I think it shifts better than My Rossin! All around I'm super psyched about it, and she loves it too. We're doing the escape NY Century this Saturday, so its going to be broken in well.
